I really like Little Ricky’s, but it’s not the most kid-friendly place. They don’t have a kids menu, which isn’t a big deal since they have sides like mac & cheese and sliders on the menu. The problem is they don’t alter the dishes at all. For example, the sliders came out with a long metal skewer going through them and the patties were too wide for my son to get his mouth around. The server was awesome and noticed the problems he was having, so insisted on removing them from the bill. There is a metal statue right when you walk in with a sign asking people not to touch and it’s just begging for a kid to touch it… Somehow this kind of sets the tone for this place. I get that not all places are appropriate for kids, but I’m surprised that a place in the middle of a suburban downtown area wouldn’t be a little more prepared for kids.
