I had heard great things about Bellaboo’s before bringing my niece. I’m not sure if it was an off day for them or what but I honestly was not impressed. It was our first time here and when we walked in no one greeted us and it wasn’t very busy. Also, there were tons of staff members working yet the cafe was super slow, the bathrooms were messy, and all of the play areas were a mess even though signs asked parents to help clean up when their children were finished. My niece still had fun playing but I’m not sure if I would take her back. Like I said tons of people love it here maybe we hit an off day.

Great for younger kids

Really a great overall experience!  It has your standard children’s museum fare, like a block area and a water play room, but there’s also a great indoor play area and ball pit.  Also cooking classes are included with your admission.  Staff is really friendly and actually seems to like kids.  The layout of the place is great because it’s difficult to lose a kid.  And, believe it or not, the food in the cafe is really good.  I like how they offer healthful snack options that are still appealing to kids (e.g. fruit or veggies w/dip).  They have tons special events, like a summer camp and an Easter egg hunt.  We had my son’s birthday party at Bellaboo’s and it was the easiest party I’ve ever hosted.  Everything was included in the party package, including the cupcakes and goody bags.  It’s our favorite children’s museum of all!

Our family loves Bellaboo’s so much we had my son’s 3rd birthday party there. All of the kids really enjoy all of the activities and the fact that you can play all day is great! I also love that they have a cafeteria so you can refuel the kids and then keep on playing. I do think it is silly to charge the parents that go there though, since they aren’t there to “play”, more so to supervise and chaperone. But since Bellaboo’s is one of a kind in northwest indiana, they pretty much have the market covered. I love how there are separate rooms so whatever your child really loves to do they can stay in that room all day if they want to! There is even a baby room which is great as long as the staff keeps a good enough eye on it and keep out older kids. I had to ask twice i one visit for them to ask the older kids who were goofing around to leave the room. I suggest if you have a birthday party there plan an early party so the kids can all stay and play all day, you will get the most for your money because the parties aren’t cheap!  Even though pricey, the parties ARE worth every penny!
